Mark Kortschot is Chair of the Division of Engineering Science (EngSci) and a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry. A Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (since 2013, his research focuses on the relationship between microstructure and properties in fibrous materials. He is the former chair of the TAPPI Paper Physics Committee, which serves as the central organization linking paper scientists around the world, and has a record of exceptional administrative service with the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry.
