- Research interests:
Developing low cost environmental sensor systems to support ecosystem carbon modelling; environmental modelling, remote sensing, and geospatial data analysis, informed by co-op experience in data analytics, quality assurance, and applied scientific computing.
Farnoush Attarzadeh

- Research interests:
Estimating carbon storage in tree biomass (especially within Toronto) and low-cost LiDAR drones to measure carbon stocks and evaluating the accuracy of different methods. This work aims to improve the reliability of above-ground biomass carbon storage estimation and lead to the development of better climate change mitigation strategies.

How extreme weather events interact with indoor air quality and behaviours in residential settings; interested in developing tools and approaches that make air quality data accessible, with the goal of empowering communities to better understand and manage the health impacts of air pollution.

- Research interests:
Robust control theory, using a variety of methods to demonstrate that a system is stable under a given disturbance. Applying this theory to a variety of cases, from multirotor, fixed-wing and VTOL aircraft. Current research focuses on applying adaptive learning structures to modern control theory, implementing methods to inform and update the control structure in real time.

- Research interests:
Developing a CRISPR-based sensor to detect bacterial contamination in drinking water. He aims to increase accessibility and reduce equipment requirements for testing. This can increase the safety of decentralized water systems in remote areas.
